Whole Foods Market is a worldwide leading natural and organic grocery store. The company hired Young Contracting in 2010 to build their new state-of-the-art green and sustainable grocery store in Raleigh, NC. Upon completion of this project, the store was awarded U.S. Green Building Councils’ LEED Gold Certification and was named a Zero Waste Facility by the EPA. This was the first time in Whole Foods’ history to be recognized as a Zero Waste Facility. Since then, we have completed 31 Whole Foods Markets across the Southeast. With no two stores the same, each project is unique to the community in which it is built. Our team works in close concert with Whole Foods Market and their design professionals to ensure no detail is overlooked on each unique project.
